Cordillera blanca
The Cordillera Blanca is an extensive chain of snowcapped peaks that are part of the Peruvian Andes. It is home to hundreds of lagoons, glaciers, wetlands, puna forests, and rocky walls. Most of the range lies within the protected area of Huascarán National Park, named after the highest mountain in Peru and one of the tallest in all of the Americas, rising to nearly 6,800 meters above sea level. It can be seen directly from the city of Huaraz, along with many other summits.
During the workshop, we will explore both high and mid-mountain environments, crossing ecosystems of puna grasslands, moraines, and glacier edges. These magical places change atmospheres in an instant, giving us the opportunity to capture landscapes in different moods and perspectives, allowing for a more intimate connection through photography.
This workshop is suitable for all levels of photography, whether you are just beginning or have years of experience. We are passionate about sharing our philosophies and approaches to nature, encouraging participants to think beyond the grand scene to create powerful images, regardless of weather conditions. These mountains and valleys are extraordinary places to experiment with and expand your creativity.
